Niche Directory Listing of Website
I have a link building blog. The traffic to my blog is neither encouraging nor discouraging. It is moderate. One of my SEO friend advised me to list my blog in niche directories to get more traffic. Should I follow that?

Re: Niche Directory Listing of Website
SEO is all about presence and manipulation. It's like Google is a game and SEO "experts" do what they can to exploit the glitches. Until (or, maybe I should say "If") Google decides to block directories specifically placed for SEO purposes, that would be a viable solution to your problem.
Re: Niche Directory Listing of Website
Link swapping randomly will hurt your rankings. The sites you link to, the sites they link to, all affect your own rankings. Focus on semantic internal linking of keywords (think wiki where every other word is hyper linked or inter connected to some other relevant content within the site).
Re: Niche Directory Listing of Website
Target to be on high quality, well established, regularly updated niche directories only. Also make sure that your website falls into the right category within their listing. Else, the strategy will backfire especially when the directories become labeled as spam.
