The Company

Veneficus is a web-marketing startup based in Guildford, Surrey (30 mins from central London). We run the following websites, which have over 30K unique visitors daily:

The role

You are a talented and quick learner who will be able to assist us with our web development work. You will be a recent graduate (or will graduate this year) and you will have completed an IT/Engineering/Mathematics related degree. Candidates will have a strong background in PHP and MySQL with working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Requirements:

- 1+ years experience creating web sites/web apps with PHP & MySQL
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript
- Knowledge of website design best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong analytical and technical mindset

Desirable:

- Knowledge of MySQL relational database structures
- Experience of jQuery
- Experience with command line Linux / Linux web server setup
- Experience of Yii PHP framework (or other framework utilising an MVC structure)
